These heavy duty spring set was necessary for my 97 EZGO TXT original non raised cart after adding a rear seat. They are same dimensions as the OEM two leaf being remove within reason. A word of caution, do not attempt to remove the old springs or install the new ones unless the springs are completely unloaded. A spring set with tension on it can be dangerous and hurt you if not handled corectly. jacking the cart up at the rear bumper after stocking g the front wheels is best way to unload the springs. They are unloaded when you can shake they easily in the front and rear shackles. With the cart in that position with the axel supported you can remove the hardware and remove the old springs and is the only way you will be able to install the heavy duty springs. The new longer, larger U bolts are necessary., but you may consider modifications to the saddle over the axel the u bolts attach to to gain needed wrenching clearance for the larger nuts. You cannot raise the new springs into position using the u bolts. You will strip the threads off the bolts.
